Abstrak

Solar panels are one of the alternative and renewable energy sources, by
capturing sunlight, solar panels can produce power that is used as a source of electricity
to turn on electrical devices. The electricity generated by solar panels has a sine cycle,
where from morning to evening it has different results, because the amount of solar
irradiance every hour is different, and irradiance determines the amount of power that
solar panels will produce. The power generated by solar panels can be supplied directly
to the inverter or on the grid, some are stored in batteries. Several previous studies
analyzed the efficiency of using solar panels that use batteries or are commonly called
off grid, while researchers analyzed the efficiency of solar panel systems on grid. This
study analyzes the efficiency in the field of economics and power efficiency. This study
succeeded in calculating the value of economic efficiency in accordance with initial
expectations. This study also obtained an average power loss value of 5.1% and an
efficiency value of solar panels converting into electrical power of 15.8%.
